On Old Linking Paths

You will be accompanied with a guide on the tour. Since a street has been built between the small settlements, the old linking paths are used only locally today.

Along the way you cross fields of maize and beans as well as little settlements and farms. By the end of the valley you climb down to a refreshing spring. On the opposing slope - partly leading along a Levada - you will get to other little settlements and then again down into the valley.

Far reaching views across the land - to Assomada - and also down to the sea - even to the other side Maio - award you with totally new and amazing impressions of Santiago.
